Today we are releasing the first beta of Simit GPT. Simit is designed to be an AI assistant that speaks natural Turkish, keeps Türkiye's context in mind, and is willing to say "I don't know" when it should.
What's in the beta?
- Simit Chat: answers stream in real time; stop or regenerate them at any moment.
- Markdown and code: tables, lists and syntax-highlighted code blocks with one-click copy.
- DeepThink: a mode where the model reasons step by step before answering complex questions.
- Two languages: Turkish and English interface.
- Light and dark themes, designed for both mobile and desktop.
What runs behind it?
Simit is built on a provider-independent Model Router. In the beta we use strong, ready-made general-purpose and reasoning API models. The same infrastructure will bring in Simit-TR, the model we are training on our own hardware, once it is ready. See our Transparency page for details.

User accounts, persistent chat history, feedback buttons and the Türkiye Knowledge Base are our next steps. We want to hear about every problem and idea you have during the beta.
